Usucha - The Traditional Way

For our Toki or Shiro.

  1. Sift 2 grams (approx. 2 bamboo scoops) of matcha powder into your bowl.
  2. Add 70-80 ml of soft water, heated to approx. 80°C.
  3. Whisk the tea with the chasen from your wrist using rapid "W" or "M" motions until a fine, dense foam forms.

Usucha - The Traditional Way

The Perfect Matcha Latte

For our Seika or Shiro.

  1. Prepare an intense matcha shot with 3 grams of powder and 40 ml of warm water.
  2. Pour it over freshly frothed milk or oat milk (hot or iced).
